Cheyenne Ranger, 48747L
During our last club officers meeting which was held as we cut/weedeated (ate?) the grass and otherwise got the range ready for the match the topic of what to do if/when primers completely disappear a couple of thoughts: Old West Nail Gun matches. we could have a common air compressor per stage and each shooter would hook up when it was his turn. "Rifle" targets would be 5 feet and for "pistol" you would drive 5 into a 4x4 staged on the firing line. Shotguns have us stumped but 22 Caliber Powder Actuated Tools should somehow be part of this area. Tool safeties would need to be disabled which would only raise the fun factor. Wagon Wheel Darts. each shooter has 20 darts + two handfuls of gravel. Targets are cork and at much closer distances. "Shotgun" targets are empty coke cans and you would try to knock over as many as possible. Not sure how the shooter will carry all the stuff with only two hands but does open the floor for some special leather work Rocks and Sticks (which was covered in this past thread)
Bart Slade
Knife throwing, Hatchet / Axe / Tomahawk throwing would seem in the right vein. As would slingshot shooting, or bow and arrow. (both would probably be tougher to get "period correct").
Dirty Dan Dawkins
Its funny, the sport may have to resort back to those on the clock non-shooting activities, that have been mostly done away with, in order to conserve ammo and make for a full day. Badlands Bob #61228
We could just meet up and eat BBQ and drink beer, while telling stories to the younger crowd about the days when you could actually shoot real guns.

You'll have to throw plastic dinner knives at blocks of tofu.
