Rancho Roy
I recently bought a used Browning BSS. It was gunsmithed for SASS. Nice gun, but way off face, one hammer spring is cracked and one firing pin is defective. Any recommendation where I can get hammer springs and firing pins and a shotgun gunsmith that might be able to repair the "off Face" issue? Garrison Joe, SASS #60708
Hammer springs and firing pins - Browning Parts Center - https://www.browning.com/support/parts-service.html (even for some obsolete Brownings....) Brownell's - But FP seems out of stock right now Any good shotgun smith should be able to fit a new (larger) hinge pin and get the face back against the standing breech. General approach is as shown in this set of instructions: https://www.bevfitchett.us/repair-of-firearms/shotgun-repairs.html And turning a new FP should be a piece of cake for a shotgun smith. Of course, Briley, Williams or Midwest Gun Works would be glad to take your money, too. But if you want a nice cowboy-attention-paid job, call Lonnie at Run-N-Iron. http://www.runniron.com/general/index.html Or, Art's in Missouri (but they're pretty pricy) https://artsgunshop.com/ good luck, GJ

Good people and knows the Browning BSS. Both of my BSS shotguns came from Cowboy Shooter's Supply. Joe and Martha Brisco will take good care of you, if at all possible.
