Goody, SASS #26190
While this chart only goes through 2010 I think you can logically guess how the series progresses. You will need to locate the Date Code on your firearm to check against this chart. I will also include a link to the specific thread where this was discussed. In it the OP was asking for the date of his yellowboy and leads to an interesting conversation. https://www.cascity.com/forumhall/index.php?topic=15310.0 Date codes for Italian firearms1 1945 XXVI 1970 BF 19952 1946 XX7 1971 BH 19963 1947 XX8 1972 BI 19974 1948 XX9 1973 BL 19985 1949 XXX 1974 BM 19996 1950 AA 1975 BN 20007 1951 AB 1976 BP 20018 1952 AC 1977 BS 20029 1953 AD 1978 BT 2003X 1954 AE 1979 BU 2004XI 1955 AF 1980 BZ 2005XII 1956 AH 1981 CA 2006XIII 1957 AI 1982 CB 2007XIV 1958 AL 1983 CC 2008XV 1959 AM 1984 CD 2009XVI 1960 AN 1985 CE 2010XVII 1961 AP 1986XVIII 1962 AS 1987XIX 1963 AT 1988XX 1964 AU 1989XXI 1965 AZ 1990XXII 1966 BA 1991XXIII 1967 BB 1992XXIV 1968 BC 1993XXV 1969 BD 1994
Prairie Dawg, SASS #50329
Sometimes the date code can be hard to find on a rifle, could be the stock or forend wood has to be removed. --=Dawg
Raven Law Dog
Thanks Goody, I found the code BC 1993. I bought it in a gun shop used about 1 yr ago, it is in such great shape, I had no idea it could be that old. Navy Arms stopped importing them in 2009, buying them from Winchester since. I knew it had to be at lest 10 yrs old.
