Blackwater 53393
I used one of those straps to lift a complete small block Chevrolet engine and automatic transmission!! They’re stronger than you think!
Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967
Yeah…. If you look carefully just to the left of the shaded area you can barely make out “Coors” behind the paint…
Sixgun Sheridan
I agree... that would have to be one of the new Fords made out of recycled Coke cans. No way a steel panel would slice open like that without so much as bending that hook.

My son complained years ago the the s10 was hopping sometimes. Rode with him and never experienced it til one day I was helping him plug a tire and saw a bald strip about a strap wide and a frayed strap end hanging out from under the tailgate. Had an AHA moment then.
Sidekick
I don't think that is a newer Ford with the aluminum body. It looks like an older F250 to me.
Charlie Harley, #14153
Musta sounded like a screaming banshee while the hook was tearing its way through the body.

Doc X
Give it some time. When the rust starts you'll know it's not a newer Ford.
South-Eye Ned
Wait! Don’t total the truck! Some people save their aluminum foil.

If that's a steel body panel then it's got to be the thinnest, softest garbage-grade steel around.

The 70's vintage Toyotas & Datsuns had very thin panels. Of course the truck in the picture isn't one of those.
