Sixgun Sheridan
This country may fall in love with lever actions all over again if the you-know-whos get control and ban all the semi-autos. When I-1639 passed in WA state, making it a huge PITA to buy a new semi-auto rifle several of the local gun stores brought in a bunch of new lever actions. I'd never seen so many for sale in at least 30 years.

If semi autos are ever successfully banned there next . Along with those evil bolt action sniper rifles.

Pat Riot
I have always loved lever guns. I like shooting all of my long guns but I truly enjoy shooting my lever guns. There is just something about a lever gun that makes them special.
Forty Rod SASS 3935
I don't much care for lever guns. I have a few: Henry '60, Winchesters '66, '73, .76, 86, 92, 94, .95. (The .94 is actually a Winchster. ) I have a few other non-pumpers, but these are my core rifles.

After I bought my AR, I was shooting it for the first time and after a few shots, I told my buddy that "this thing is boring, just shoot, hit the target, repeat"! I have 17 lever rifles and 4 lever shotguns so I guess I have an affinity for them.

Cold Lake Kid, SASS # 51474
Once the banners see a top CAS shooter empty a 10 round mag on a dump target, our lever actions are in trouble.
watab kid
i believe we need to have everything to be well rounded but i do indeed love my levers in every form from our repeaters back to the single shot falling blocks , im not given up my semiautos or my bolts or pumps but i do love my levers

His/her response was that yes, we ought to ban those as well. Nothing holding more than three rounds. I guess if four punks break into your house you're supposed to club the last one to death with your empty firearm. It’s incrementalism, eventually one round will be too many . No matter how much they say it gun banners are not interested in compromise. And it certainly has nothing to do with “common sense” .

Sorry, my fault. You can slap me upside the head if you want. Sooooooo... to make this more on-topic, I have to admit that I find shooting some of my lever guns to be more fun than semi-autos. For example, the last several times I ventured out in the woods to do some plinking with .22 rimfire I brought my Henry H001 while my Ruger, Remington and Marlin semi-autos all stayed behind in the safe. Something about working a lever between shots that's more satisfying than simply yanking the trigger as fast as I can.

Sixgun Sheridan
Put that one in a hermetically-sealed chamber and leave in your safe deposit box. The lever and bolt-action Nylon rifles are quite rare.

Pat Riot
I have a Winchester 94 “Trails End” .357 Magnum that I dearly love. I bought it to shoot CAS when I first got started out in SASS. It’s the most accurate firearm I own. I have pretty much rebuilt / replaced the internals twice in this gun. After the last go through I won’t use it in main matches any longer but it’s now a fun gun. This one’s a keeper.
Sixgun Sheridan
Probably my favorite lever gun is a 1970s Winchester 94 Wells Fargo bank commemorative, made back when Wells Fargo was the good guys instead of the bandits. Nothing special about it except it has a gorgeous set of burl walnut wood furniture. It's not even that great a shooter... I just love to take it out of the safe so that I can look at it. Hashknife Cowboy
After reading the posts on this site I had to dust off an old friend and put some rounds through a 50 year old Marlin. Pat Riot
I should get my boys together and take some photos. Here is the only lever gun I have handy pix of. It’s my Winchester 94 30-30 Carbine. I had it Cerakoted after it got covered in rust because of an idiot ex-friend’s dumbassery. It wears its original stock. I installed XS Sights on it with a rear peep and a white stripe front blade. Excellent sight system. Yes, I missed getting one pin coated...
