Alpo Posted October 18, 2020 Share Posted October 18, 2020 That's a myth. Wine will age in the bottle. But distilled liquor stops aging as soon as you take it out of the wood. If you buy a bottle of 6-year-old bourbon and put it in a cabinet and leave it there for a hundred years, when you pull the cork, it's 6-year-old bourbon. But I recall 8 or 10 years ago somebody found a 3 gallon keg of medicinal bourbon in an old drugstore. It had been there since prohibition. Now that was aged.
