What time is this?

Half seven?

According to the internet it is either a half an hour before after 7:00 (England) or a half an hour after before 7:00 (Germany).

I don't know what it would be the rest of the world. I have never heard the term used here in the states. I found it in an online story that was taking place in Sweden.

So if any of y'all use that term where you live, what does it mean there? Before, or after, or something else?

The term, "half seven", means different things to different people.  To British folk it means, "half past seven."  To Germanic and Slav folk it means, "half hour before seven."

Know the speaker, know the time.

'Half-Seven' would be 3:30 a.m.

If it were 'Half-30/60', it would be 3:30 p.m.   Or better known at 1530.

Its just that simple.   Heck, even TN Williams can figure that out...

Didn't we beat the hell out of most of the world sometime (or several sometimes) in the last 150 years, and save most of it from someone who wanted to force their will on someone else, give or take, so we wouldn't be obligated to do it "their way"?
