Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
Found an article from Popular Mechanical stating that the U.S. Army has developed a system that fires a 155 artillery round 1000 miles. That is correct, a thousand (1,000) miles. WOW!
J. Mark Flint #31954 LIFE
I agree, it seems unlikely. Here's a better source https://www.defensenews.com/digital-show-dailies/ausa/2018/10/07/from-paladin-upgrades-to-a-1000-mile-cannon-army-artillery-aims-high-er-farther/
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
Wow. Looks like we are behind the curve again. I would suppose this technology would be shared between the other US services on a need to know basis. Our government seems to have a lot of leaks of late. Crazy Gun Barney, SASS #2428
roles and duties are getting blurred again. Kind of like when rock bands started "rapping" giving life to a new genre of music. So if an artillery shell (projectile) has a booster rocket (or a ram jet) on it, is it still an artillery shell, or has it now become a rocket or missile? Maybe that is why we have the Space Corp now?
