"GF lasagna"

I quickly came to the conclusion that GF meant "gluten free", and that reminded me of something I saw in the grocery store this morning.

It's this paper cup with a paper lid stuck to it, and the label says something about pancakes. As I pick it up to read the label I could hear powder inside. I deduce that it is a single serving of pancakes. Peel the lid off and pour water in and stir It up and cook some pancakes.

As I am setting it back on the shelf, I noticed that on the label it says it is "grain-free"

Not "gluten-free" - "grain-free".

Reading the ingredients list, I see that it is made from almond flour.

Oooookay.

I make a delicious cake with almond flour, why not pancakes?

Awww, and here I was thinking you were a make-it-from-scratch kinda gal!

If that had been "the rage" when I first got married, I might have been. I baked bread from scratch then (no bread making machine). Anyone remember Adele Davis? She had the best recipe for WW bread. That is the kind I made the most.

I hear they make delicious hamburgers out of soybeans, but I'm not going to eat them.

I’ve had them and they’re not bad. I’ve also had sausage patties made from soybeans that are delicious!! Morning Star Farms has a whole line of meatless products,
