Straight from Blade HQ company over in Utah. A shiny Buck Ranger 112 auto. Very smooth open and Buck’s usual strong lockup. Love it.

Blade length?

I'm shopping for a replacement for my 4 1/4" side lever lock that's older than you are.  (That side lever looks cool but it's generally a two handed knife while you have to unfold the lever and shift the position, then refold it so It won't close on your fingers.)  The blade is about 1/2" to 3/4" too long for my taste, too.

Howdy,

Do they convert what folks own?

Try a Benchmade tanto three inch blade.

I removed the clip from mine as furniture can grab and steal

your steel.

After having two nice blades disappear no more clipping onto pockets.

And if you deal with Benchmade direct I think they give optional alloy choices.

154 cm works for me.

And sharpen with ceramic sticks. easy peasy.

Best

The Ranger is 3”. The 110, classic Buck is 3.75. But we are limited to 3.5” blades for auto openers in Colorado. All mine are about 3.25 - 3.5.

Looks like you got the last one on that site.

No. The green micarta scales model is out of stock. Mine has ebony,

Because I’m a traditionalist. ;)

I thought that was something else. I must have been looking at another knife.

Though I did find something I want more. This is going on my Christmas list. It’s out of stock now but I am sure I can find one somewhere.

That’s a beauty!  I’ve got an old Buck 110, but not as handsome as that.

My well worn 110 is still one of my favorites. It’s a cool classic.

Here’s the coolest one ever.

Looks like you have a BBQ knife to keep your BBQ gun company!  :)

I have a wonderful BBQ knife, a fixed blade 7 1/2" Damascus stag handled dandy that Longline Charlie Glackman made and gave to me just before he died.  It came with a generic sheath (really cheap and ugly) that he told me had around and told me to get a new one when I could.

"I could" about a month ago, and picked it up from Steve at Double H Leather here in town a few days ago.

The incised carving was a design that my grandson doodled on a piece of yellow legal about ten years ago and Steve made it fit the sheath.

Because of the two men who were involved in its current form this is my favorite belt knife and a true BBQ special.  The color of the sheath isn't the same as the gun leather, but it's close enough for my purposes.
