ALL of the first 10 Amendments to the Constitution (Bill of Rights) protect the INDIVIDUAL from obtrusive acts of the government.  Perhaps Mr. Biden should re-read my 9th grade "Government and Civics" textbook.  Not that it would matter to him, nor would he remember it an hour later.

The Bill of Rights does not guarantee citizens any particular right given from the government as much as it does restrict the government from infringing upon the citizens' rights inherent to it before the Constitution was written; rights given by Almighty deity. But because today's democrats are godless heathen they do not understand nor accept that reality.

Joe Biden is insanely wrong on everything that comes out of his mouth. But please, keep it up Joe.

The Government does not have any "RIGHTS" of its own to give!

Sadly, plenty of people sure think that's how it works.

He objects to Scalia's majority opinion in Heller.  He doesn't believe that "people" referenced in the Bill of Rights has the same meaning every time referenced.  He believes "people" means the collective not the individual.  While he hasn't practiced law; since, he became a member of Congress, 47 years ago there is no excuse for him telling the public they don't need an assault weapon for home defense.  He said buy a shotgun, a double barrel shotgun.  When you hear someone try to get into your house grab the shotgun & go out on the balcony & fire both barrels into the air.   A lawyer advising the public to brandish an arm & discharge a firearm in city limits, imagine it.
