Dirty Dutch Brody
Ok so my first season of CAS is coming to an end. I am so bummed. So now that the winter is slowly marching towards us I am looking over my gear and trying to decide what I want to upgrade first. I currently have a pieced together belt and holsters. They work ok and are of ok quality. I would really like to start my upgrades there. I have spent hours looking at the websites and such and think I have a idea which direction i want to go. So I figured I would ask what are your opinions? Who would you recommend? Pros vs cons? Keep in mind I shoot Gunfighter.
Rye Miles #13621
I’ve always been happy with Kirkpatrick leather www.kirkpatrickleather.com Mernickle Leather is also good
Eyesa Horg
I like my Kirkpatrick rig, but recommend checking out Johnny at J-M Leather also. Ellie has one of his rigs and is very happy with it. Johnny and his wife took quite a bit of time on the phone helping design her rig. www.jm-leather.com/index.htm
Tyrel Cody
In no particular order: J-M Leather - http://www.jm-leather.com/ Michigan Rattler Leather - http://www.michiganrattler.com/ Hastings - http://www.hastingsholsters.com/index.htm All make great rigs. There is no one better at carving than Michigan Rattler if you want something truly beautiful.

Tequila Shooter
There is someone up in OH that makes great rigs, Stockyard Johnny Red. He made my rig, every rig is custom made and he’s very reasonably priced. That said, Mernickle, Kirkpatrick, El Paso all make very good rigs. If you use a small shop make sure they are familiar with SASS and the rigs that work best for our game. You’ll have lots of options besides how fancy you want it like reinforced holster openings, length and drop of holster, etc. It pays to look around, choose a good quality set, it won’t be cheap but it’ll last you years. Good Luck! BTW - Come on down south we shoot year round!
