J-BAR #18287
In a moment of weakness I purchased a box of 50 Sinter Fire frangible 100 grain 9mm cartridges. Expensive! I will fire a few at paper this week. If you have used this ammunition, what do you think?
The Original Lumpy Gritz
Seen feeding/cycling issues. Use a very firm grip. OLG
Blackwater 53393
Tried some in .45acp. It was hotter than most other ammunition but it seemed to cycle my Para 13/45 fine. Interesting strike pattern on steel! Don’t know what you’ll see on paper ‘cause it’s supposed to break up on impact. The stuff I shot was dead on POA out to 25 yards. The Original Lumpy Gritz
J-Bar, post up a picture or 2 of a live round. The ammo I tried was an issue rnd for a Federal agency training. Worked fine in my Sig 226, not so much in my Glock. No issues in the H&K MP5 that I got to try. OLG

Looks like a blunt FMJ: I’ll be playing around with a CZ subcompact, among others, later today at Cherokee. Want to come along?

The Original Lumpy Gritz
Thanks for the invite We are looking at a house just east of Sequoita today. The ammo I used looked similar, just a black colored bullet. OLG
J-BAR #18287
They worked fine in my CZ. Point of impact maybe an inch lower than my other ammunition. Acceptable for my carry needs. My CZ isn’t finicky; so far it has fired 5 different brands without a malfunction. Cool!

Pat Riot
Are these for target shooting or defense? I have never tried frangible rounds.
The Original Lumpy Gritz
It's training ammo for close in steel plates and such. Not for hunting or SD use. OLG
sassnetguy50
I used it for safety when shooting steel, no ricochets. Some manufacturers market it as home defense and close quarters combat ammunition because it doesn’t over penetrate.
Cyrus Cassidy #45437
He. I thought you misspelled "centerfire" until someone posted a picture.
