They have not seen their grand kids for six months (Covid). Then, this woman says, "for this I blame Donald Trump." Are you kidding me? Does this make sence to any sentient being? All of the members of Congress would prefer that their party be in control. But if the other side wins it's not that bad to them. They still get their perks and pass laws that exempt themselves. If any old time Republican had won the election they'd be rolling along as if nothing happened. But Trump won and isn't one of them. He was a businessman with no desire to be a lifelong politician (as it should be), but thought the American people were not being represented and thought he could do better. A couple of months ago, I read the Democrat Party Platform from their website. It was the same as the one from 2016. A couple of days ago, I looked again. It’s a draft version for 2020. It’s distinctly different from the 2016 version in that it shows the concessions the Dems made to Bernie Sanders for stopping his campaign and endorsing Biden. Remember, Sanders said he would raise everyone’s taxes? The Democrat Party will have to, to finance what is planned. Examples: 1). The Trump tax cut roll-back reads all inclusive; and says nothing about rolling back just those that make $400k and above; 2). One of the other planks is to create a state-level “retirement fund” for everyone. Everyone will have pay into it. That’s a new tax. Wanna bet whether you’ll be able to spend all of it? There are other surprises if you know what to look for. Gone from the 2016 Platform was specific language limiting abortions to the first trimester. Biden has indicated he is in favor of Rowe v Wade ( no surprise there) , but Sen Kamala Harris co-sponsored a bill to allow for late-term abortions. The great danger is the government's use of the contributions, using it as a General Revenue or a Reserve Fund instead of investing it as a those running a private fund are required. The government's cry later is that the fund is running out and % rates collected will have to be raised or benefits lowered.
