Irish Pat
Texas state match is there this weekend. I heard they have terrible weather, can anyone there tell us about it? Irish Pat
Yusta B.
Wasn't terrible. My son & daughter were shooting & said they got rained on a bit but not too bad. Nothing like the hail at Winter Range last year.
Abilene, SASS # 27489
Thursday storms with lightning caused some of the side matches to have to be shut down a little early. Got the range pretty wet that afternoon. Friday the morning posses were dry. Then the rains came. Everyone and lots of carts under various roofs and awnings for a good while. Afternoon posses delayed a couple hours until around 2:30. Still raining lightly for a bit but quit and got nice. The puddles sunk in pretty quickly and mud not too bad. Saturday morning posses had some light fog at first but no rain. Afternoon started on time and they did get rained on, but not for long. It was a great match! Rusty Remington and Panhandle Cowgirl are state champs for the second year in a row!
