It occurred to me this afternoon, while I was sweating and cutting some brush, that 50 years ago today I turned 22 in the lovely location of Phouc Vinh. I was 17 days from heading back to the world. Can still remember watching the news with my dad when I was a child and how pissed he would get at the way some of the returning soldiers were treated.
