“You’re a Racist!”

i think it broke my heart as much as when I was asked, “How many women and children have you killed today.”

:(

I really believe I would have told the person "You will be the first".

I don't tolerate that sort of crap very well and I've gotten worse since my PTST has aged like fine wine.

While racism in any form is truly ugly, the left has used it as an insult so much it has all but lost its meaning.  Real racism will be ignored because people are sick and tired of hearing they are racist when they are not -- drinking milk is racist, PB&J sandwiches are racist, anyone who is white is racist, etc.

The purpose in labeling those on the Right is an attempt to shut down the opposition’s right to be heard because you’ve been “canceled” as a racist or fascist.  It’s really a tool of the Socialists, Marxists, and communists.  They don’t have to tolerate the hateful Right.

Don't let it bother you, the word racist has lost all meaning these days being applied to anyone who does not agree with the person yelling racist.

Having lost patience myself with the nonsense going on, I expect my response would be something along the lines of "Thank you, I'll take that as a compliment coming from someone who makes a retarded baboon look like Albert Einstein".  Of course I'd keep my mouth shut if saying anything might lead to me getting in trouble with law enforcement.

I was called a “racist”.

I responded with “At least I am not a manipulated moron parroting what I am told to say.”

That actually shut them up...for 10 seconds. She started to say something else but the light changed.
I rode away on my bike and that was that.

Funny thing is I was just riding my motorcycle down Pacific Coast Highway and stopped at a red light near the pier. There was a BLM protest going on.
I guess I was yelled at and called a racist because I am a white man. The fat chick yelling at me was also white. Weird.

No point in responding to that at all.

I've never been called a racist. If I ever was, I'd think to myself, "you have no idea where I've been or what I've done. If you did, you'd choke on those words."

Try being a white man with a Southern accent.  Some half-wits just assume you have a Klan membership card in your wallet.

Since the Left has gotten so desperate that they are playing the race card at every opportunity, it's only gotten worse.

True.  It won't change anything.

Besides, it's not about race.  It's about putting you on the defensive- by you having to refute the allegation.

Yeah, by their definition, I certainly am.

Funny thing about white privilege too: The harder I work, the more of it I have!

Being called a racist and trying to provide you are not is a lot like trying to answer the question “when did you stop beating your wife?”.  If you say you never beat your wife, they say “so you don’t admit to beating your wife”.

Or a white woman.  I am a minority in my neighborhood.  I treat people with respect and dignity and am generally treated with the same.  Most people want to get along.  I don't bother with those who don't.

Why then do we have to tolerate them.  FIGHT BACK!

Used to be a racist.  I liked Nascar, Baja, Le Mans and IHRA.

Not so much anymore.

Everybody lighten up!

NASCAR has been taking too many "left turns" ever since they mandated one body style to make every driver equal. I miss the wide tracking Pontiacs and the Plymouth Superbirds having an advantage. It made the others hit the drawing board to be competitive again.

A lot of guys returning from 'Nam caught that hateful line.
That is a whole lot harder to take then the current "racist" baloney.

Hearing "Racist" is like seeing bare boobs at a crowded topless beach.

Day in and Day out.
Week in and Week out.
Month in and Month out.
All Day, Every Day.

After constant and never-ending exposure, you just ignore it.
There is no longer any meaning nor any interest.

You say "Meh" and move on.
They can scream this all day long, cuz I don't give a shit.

From the liberal bible, "Rules for Radicals"...
Rule #7:  A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.

Most people have plenty of prejudices but still aren't racist, but that's neither here nor there. Whenever somebody says that to you they're really not trying to help you improve yourself, as many people here have said already. So if you're looking for a response, maybe this one will work for you.

"I assume you think that because of how I look, just like I think you're an idiot because of what you say."

If you really didn't want to talk to them anyway, that might do the trick!

you alll have summed it up about as well as i could ever hope to , in my mind im not , i did grow up in a time when one might have gotten offended right regular like with all the catholic -polish - whatever jokes but back then being a catholic scotsman i had more than enough guff just from the family to have thick skin ,

much of what seems to be getting to folks these days is nothing more than spoiled rotten entitled youngsters that never were held accountable - they blame everyone else for their shortfalls instead of just growing out of them with a little humility ,

im too old to be very civil to such nonsense - dont let the words break your heart - its the thoughts of those that spoke them that are breaking mine , we have failed to educate our youth in things they will learn by the cruel world , those throwing rocks and worse , those looting and burning will suffer the consequences in the future - they just chit in their own nest ,

we were NOT "baby killers" in the 60s , we are NOT "racists" in this era , we are the tax paying folks that make them free to exercise their right to free speech in the streets even tho ours is being squelched

I was having a bit of a grumpy day and had to stop at the grocery on the way home. As I was putting the stuff in the back of the truck a "person" walked by and yelled "you a f-ing racist!" When I turned to look at her she pointed to the "God Bless America" hitch cover on my truck.  I muttered something to the effect of "Damn Straight!" and walked to the drivers door. As I opened the door she came up behind me screaming incoherently. When I opened the door, Java, my 116# German Shepherd, stuck his head out and just looked at her. Her mouth closed with and audible snap, then screamed I was going to "sic that monster on her" and fled across the parking lot. It brightened my grumpies as Java is a gentle soul. The only times he barks is when he has to go out or someone rings the doorbell.

That word has been shorn of any meaning as it has been stretched as thin as an g-string on a two ton hooker. You could always tell them, "I don't appreciate my individual agency being cancelled by an individual of intersectional privilege."  Or just - F*%K OFF YOU COMMIE BAST#$D!

We have a winner.

And the libs have been doing this for years. How do you think today's libs squeak by on the true history of slavery/race relations/abolition of slavery post Civil War and the democrat party?

I taught high school for 14 years, all in the same school, which had a 99.9% black student population and had a grand total of one white man who worked there, me.  Every now and then when a student would choose to fail my class I would get called in for a conference with the student's parent/legal guardian.  Sometimes the race card would get thrown down.  It usually sounded something like 'you failed my child because he's black' to which I would reply 'every student in my class is black' and walk out of the meeting.

Since the vast majority of my AP Econ students got 3's or better on their exams, and more than 90% of my regular Econ students passed the State mandated End of Course tests, my Principals always backed me up.

As others have said eventually the accusation loses all meaning. To me it just became background noise, which I ignored.

When I am confronted with the “racist” labeling, I generally advise the accuser to “please take note of the mistletoe on my shirt tail...”

They’re often too taken aback to continue their rant.
