I will not...

Recommended Posts

Y'know, When I moved to Arizona I was told the heat was awful.  In the area, yeah, but we have only broken 100 twice this year and seldom get much over 94-94.

Winters are mild, too.  Maybe a total of twenty days of snow since we moved here six years ago and only one of those time did it stay on the ground long enough to be a nuisance.

The heat is on.....

The heat is o-on....

Yeah, it's on the street!  (don't walk on the concrete at 2:00pm in your bare feet)

I don't mind the 90°. I don't even mind the "feels like 105°". I just wish the humidity would drop 30 or 40 points.

I would like to see what a "dry heat" feels like.

Heck, last year I didn't turn on the heat at all.

Oh, I wish it were 60 here. Getting tired of this weird hot muggy weather.

I think mother nature is telling you to retire early and move.

It’s awesome. <15% humidity. Makes the cold less miserable too.

Honestly, I wish I could. Everything in my retirement revolves around me hitting age 62.

Now, if a job opportunity presented itself I might jump on it but that’s not happening now with CoVid. I should count my blessings and quit complaining. I have it good compared to many.

Well, the Denver area finally got some rain yesterday.  Not much, and probably not enough in the mountains to put out the fires, but better than we've been having! Nineties, and one day of 100 for the last 90 days! Had to call in an arborist to deep water our evergreens and trees!  Still, better than Phoenix area at 115 plus. :o

Outside 60, forecast to get to 66.  Inside 70 now.

i suppose I could bake some bacon that would heat up the kitchen without putting the heat on.

66?

The humidity is higher than that!

That "feels like" is just plain stupid. I'll take 95 with 15% humidity over 88 with 75% humidity "feels like" 95 any time.

Here's something for you to fiddle around with- a heat index calculator.

Yes, I do. I have lived all over this country. The best weather is where I live now...well, it should be. I couldn’t wait to get the heck out of the Carolinas. The two weeks of Spring every year was nice...

And every year for Christmas Bob Cratchet put a little note on his Santa’s list asking for a handgun yet his wife never knew why...:P
