Major Crimes
WTC I was TO, ULT monitor and two of the three spotters. Stage instructions called for engagement of pistol tgts but didn't specify they had to be hit by balls. I allowed the hit with his barrel even though the Spotters (yes, I was two of them) called it a Procedural (engagement with wrong projectile). I believe his intentions were true and his heart was in the right place (in his mouth when the barrel went down range). Was I right
Hendo
Did you assess anything for breaking the 170 rule?

I bet shooter gangs that up in his man cave! No SDQ. Once the barrel has come apart from the action, it is two separate pieces of steel. The call is CU, Change Underware. And replace the wedge

Ozark Huckleberry
It's generally not desirable to become the calendar reference point for future range tales: "The last time I went clean was the match before the barrel flew off." "I think we shot this same stage a couple of matches after he lost his barrel." "Howdy! Haven't seen you since just before that barrel went downrange!" Charlie Harley, #14153
That might be the funniest thing I’ve seen in a reeeeealy long time. I hope the shooter had a sense of humor. Had this not been caught on camera I’d have never believed it.

Roger Rapid
OMG! - Super photo!!!! Looks like gun didn't "break" - but instead that wedge fell out. Was this his first shot? I'm sure it got his adrenaline pumping! Wow! RR

Buffalo Bill Mathewson, 37826
I wonder if the ball made it out of the barrel or if it stayed in the barrel.
Major Crimes
I stole (appropriated without permission?) the photo from Dawgs post . I just didn't want to hijack his post with my poor sense of humour.
