Cypress Sun
Actually, coke is a major culprit for many of Mexico's ills........I don't mean the soda pop.

Used to be, but it's mostly meth and brown tar heroin.
Red Gauntlet , SASS 60619
An interesting article. In Chiapas, and in particular in the area of San Juan Chamula, Coca-cola is considered a sacramental drink. I kid you not. I've been there and seen it, along with the amazing quasi-pagan, quasi-Catholic local church. The other noted beverage there is posh; sugarcane liquor. One of the singularly most interesting places I've ever been. About 7,500 feet elevation; most inhabitants are Maya.
Pat Riot
Someone should have responded “Of course we drink Coke...we can’t drink your water!”
Big Sage, SASS #49891 Life
I spent a lot of time in Mexico in the 70's, 80's & 90"s. I owned a business in Cabo San Lucas. In Mexico they like their sweets. Almost all the soda they drink is full on sugared, the gringos drink the "diet" sodas. They also use lots of lard and salt in their food. Make your own judgement. Trailrider #896
Sorry, I can't have anything with a lot of sugar. Anyhow, I didn't lose a thing south of the Rio Bravo!
