Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
Haven't had time to digest it, but it will make for interesting reading tonight. Last page has an article on the second generation colt New Frontier that might interest some cowpolks.
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
Page 28 has a blurb about Colt Manufacturing has released 2,000 LE6920 Carbines to the Commercial Market, and more will follow. I wonder how long they will last? And will there be a price jump due to the latest gun grab?

This after they said they would sell no more AR type long guns to the general public. Sometimes I think Colt is schizophrenic.

According to the article they stopped selling to the individual consumer market a couple years back, due to lower priced competitor's models in play. I guess they figure they can get their asking price in view of the current demand.
Badlands Bob #61228
Most of the magazine is preaching doom and gloom if I don't send them money to fight the latest threat to my guns. Good article about the Browning hipower.

Dubious Don #56333
American Rifleman is the only gun mag I still get. I enjoy the collector pieces and was entertained by the New Frontier article. The rest of it was pretty typical. Just because they're repetitive (doom & gloom, send us money or else, most important election ever, send more money now) doesn't mean they're wrong. My favorite part of the american rifleman is the stories they're doing on the men and weapons of war.

My favorite part of the american rifleman is the stories they're doing on the men and weapons of war. Mine too, Ramblin. I am a history junkie. I grew up during WWII and just about everybody in my family was in uniform at one time or another. Even 2 of my Aunts were Rosie the Riveter. They were working in factories in Chicago. My Mother and I went to stay with one of them when my Dad was stationed at Ft. Sheridan. I believe the article mentioned the lost contract as a reason, along with the the absence of black rifles on the shelves. Made sense to me. I thought it was a sound decision. But then again Colt didn't call me for my opinion.
Abilene Slim SASS 81783
My magazine hasn't arrived yet. I think Badger has it. How do I know? The last one I got had been used as a coaster on a humid day.

My dad used to think our mail carrier was some sort of uppity baptists based on his magazines that mysteriously never arrived. Then the magazines started showing up really late without the plastic cover and he formed another theory. Someone thought he wouldn't notice. But he did.
