Utah Bob #35998
Guess we got out of Charlotte In the nick of time. I wonder how the cranes a couple of blocks away from the apartment fared?

Linn Keller, SASS 27332, BOLD 103
Oh dear heavens ... my brother in law and family live in NC ... he reported feeling it, but after examining his hacienda and trying the water faucet, he found no structural damage and apparently the water supply is not compromised. Two others that latitude gave me similar replies. These pictures, however, tell a serious tale!

Utah Bob #35998
Quote Initial data suggests the quake was from a oblique reverse-slip event. Sounds like a weaseling move.
Tom Bullweed
50 miles SE of Sparta and felt it. Reminded me of living in Naha as a kid.

I lived in Iwakuni when a kid and experienced the same thing. (Along with sonic booms!) Through the years around these parts, we’ve felt a couple of tremors from the New Madrid Fault in SE Missouri.
