Guess we got out of Charlotte In the nick of time. I wonder how the cranes a couple of blocks away from the apartment fared?

Oh dear heavens ... my brother in law and family live in NC ... he reported feeling it, but after examining his hacienda and trying the water faucet, he found no structural damage and apparently the water supply is not compromised.

Two others that latitude gave me similar replies.

These pictures, however, tell a serious tale!

Reminded me of living in Naha as a kid.

^_^ I lived in Iwakuni when a kid and experienced the same thing. (Along with sonic booms!)
 

Through the years around these parts, we’ve felt a couple of tremors from the New Madrid Fault in SE Missouri.
