Utah Bob #35998
Got some leather laces for my jump boots some time ago. Just found them in a drawer this morning. Both broke as I was putting them on .My wife says I don’t know my own strength. Not likely. I say the damn Chinese cows are defective.

Marshal Hangtree
Chinese laces have to be laced up left to right, not right to left as we do it.

Tascosa, SASS# 24838
When I was in the AP's we used white parachute cord and ladder laced our boots with our Class A's.

Buffalo Creek Law Dog
We laced our combat boots straight across rather than criss cross as it was easier to cut the laces when taking the boot of,f when the wearer had a lower leg injury.
Cat Brules
I thought that paracord was too heavy, so I pulled the seven(?) strands of nylon cord out of them, then, of course, melted the ends of the cord “shell” and formed the melted nylon into points.so’s they’d go through the boots’ eyelets. As I recall, unmodified paracord has a 750# tensile strength(?) and the empty paracord shell was very tough and never broke in use as bootlaces. Imis Twohofon,SASS # 46646
Well, Bob. China is under water right now so wet leather laces wouldnt be very strong. Imis vote for river sandals, the kind you wear rafting, not that China drowns

You catch the end as it comes out the back, and tie that to the shower curtain rod in the bathroom. Then just let him hang there. His weight will get the rest of the 72 inches out. Eventually.
