Well, dang. After only 25 plus years.

Recommended Posts

Started to load a few 45 acp rounds out of boredom this afternoon.  My Dillon RL 550 was already set up from the last batch I ran, so I just loaded some primers, put powder in the hopper and began.  As the first round got to the 4th station, I felt a give in the lever, a pop, and nothing moved.  I had broken the crank on the bottom of the unit.

A call to Dillon resulted in a new crank being shipped to me, but it may take several weeks to arrive.

In the mean time, I'll have to dig the spare 550 I have out from storage and get it running.  Either that, or be satisfied with the RCBS Junior single stage.

Holy cannolis, BatMan!  I ain’t never seen that part of a press break. Not a Dillon, Lyman, RCBS, or anything.

I broke about about everything else, but the connectors have been bombproof.

Bending the frame on a Rock Chucker can’t be that far behind.

Nothing wrong with a single stage. It’s all I use, but then it’s what I like.

I have been noticing longer shipping times on lots of things, even from Amazon.
