Fill Yer Hand
Looking to start shooting wild bunch and would like to see if anyone's interested in selling a cheaper 1911. Thanks
Kid Rich
If you buy one of the cheaper less expensive ones you will probably have to do some work on it to make it usable for WB. Not that difficult but you have to know what you are doing. kR
Deadpan Willy
I bought a Cimarron 1911. I wanted something as close to a WWI 1911 I could get. Shoots pretty decent and I didn’t get any work done.
Hoss
I won a Remington R1 at a match. I don’t shoot a lot of WB, but it has worked well every time. They can usually be found for 5-600. Good gun for the money. Especially when I see guys having failures to feed with their $2000 guns!
Rex M Rugers #6621
If you do not have any luck here on the classifieds , check out Rock Island Armory 1911s at your local gun shop. They are on the lower end price-wise , and are usually solid pistols. Rex
Juan Solo
R1 is what i would choose if i was going with a simple cheap WB gun. It will shoot in traditional, and they're excellently made firearms. Only big downside is that they dont accept aftermarket rear sites due to the cut being just slightly proprietary. On the other hand, if you're using it for WB then it doesnt matter since the sight cant be changed for traditional anyways.
Wagon Box Willy
I have one and I'm happy with it. It eats any and all ammo and reloads and is accurate. Buy new. Three Foot Johnson
I have four Rock Island's, full-size, fixed sights, new-in-box. I can go $425 on one, insured & shipped to your FFL.
Slowhand Bob, 24229
I understand that Colt actually came out with a model, a few years back, that was somewhat a WW1 version but not one of the real high priced special limited editions that are floating around??? Not sure what these are going for now days BUT it would be a real Colt, I think???

Boggus Deal #64218
Be better to ask over on the Wild Bunch wire. But are you looking to shoot Modern or Traditional?
DeaconKC
I've had a couple ATI 1911s that ran great. A quick trigger job is all they needed to be good shooting guns. Also, slightly better sights than original 1911s https://americantactical.us/939/detail.html
