As a kid, I hated fish, but after hurricane Celia when shrimp was given away at the stores before it went bad, we ate shrimp and I loved it.  Now, I can’t get enough.  My wife hates seafood, so I get it mostly when my wife and I can get surf and turf options.

Only with a lot of fresh lemon juice.

I can’t do lemon juice.  Mild allergy to citrus.

Oh, sorry to hear that.  Takes away a lot of simple pleasures.

Not really.  Never cared much for lemon and most oranges.  Grapefruit was always too bitter. I do like tangerines and they don't seem to set off the allergic reaction like the others do.  A little lime can work if it's REALLY a small squirt.

I'm more of a pepper/hot sauce guy.  I mostly substitute black or red pepper for salt too, except when cooking. I use a lot less salt in most recipes than what's called for and I use kosher salt mostly.  Contrary to what many top chefs will espouse, Salt can be, AND SHOULD BE, added by the diner to suit his or her taste!!   (my opinion, of course)
