Horse Creek Spinks Posted July 29, 2025 Posted July 29, 2025 I was trying to train my border collie pup to stay on the rug when he was in the house (which is and will be rare). However, as most borders want to do, he wanted to compromise!! 3 Quote

My chair was by the fireplace. Sam would creep, as quietly as he possibly could, to the fireplace side of my chair so he could put his head in my lap. I helped him all I could (and relied on him as an outside babysitter. My daughter could go in the yard all she wanted but he kept her out of the street and the driveway. He'd never seen another small child.) 2 1 Quote

The cellar stair well was still just framing. Every time the baby got within six feet of that studded wall, Hans would just walk over and lie down between baby and wall. When the baby rolled into the kitchen, Hans spent his time getting petted by the adults. He seemed to keep a side eye on the baby. He'd never met a baby before. 3 Quote

Alpo Posted September 8, 2025 Posted September 8, 2025 German dogs. It's nice to see that when you do something really weird with your dog, other people do it too. We have Snap. It is a friend's birthday so Snap is wearing his birthday picklehellben. Before you can have cake you must blow out the dog. We have Heidi, who received an iron cross for attacking squirrels. And then we have a still from a World War 1 newsreel. 1 Quote
