Biking bow-wows

Little dog in the sidecar of a Russian Ural motorcycle.

Same bike, from the other side, so you can see the big dog in the sidecar.

And then we got the purse dog on the trike pulling the trailer. They're not getting away from it all. They're bringing it with them.

Had to say goodbye to my little buddy, Taco Chalupa Batman, back in November.  Sure do miss the little guy.

I’m dreading the day when we’re forced to part with the Boobie.  She turned 15yrs. old on Valentine’s Day and she’s having some health issues.

Sympathy! I'm in the same boat with my old Lab, near the same age. He's still having fun, likes his food and short fetches, though he doesn't walk well.  When the fun stops, well, I had one lab I swear told me it was time.

We had a Shepard that told us. So many sad times being a doggie owner.

The good far outweighs the bad.  When I had to have my first Lab put down, I wasted 6 or 7 years with no dog.  Now I always have several.

You are so right. We will always have a dog.

I was taking some photos of guns in my collection and Augie the dachshund wandered into the shot.   Couldn't run him off so now he's part of it.  Also in the shot an original Winchester Model 1876 sporting rifle in .40-60 WCF and Colt Frontier Six Shooter and cartridges.

this is me with Rusty, my 13 year old Belgian Malinois/Labrador mix.  He is good, but has problems with his pancreas, so only special diet food with medicine from pig's pancreas made can eat.  If he gets too much meat or treats, he won't do well.  Unfortunately he doesn't understand that, I can't give him sausage, meat or anything else as a reward without his medicine.  Until we found out what was wrong with him, he would have starved to death while we were eating.  But with the medicine and the special food, Rusty is doing well, despite his age.

Excuse me, I know this is about dogs, but did you know that the Russians simply copied the BMW and Kreidler motorcycles of the German Wehrmacht in WWII, which were identical at the time and which they had lost to Russia?  So a Ural is actually a copied Nazi bike.  But I still think these are beautiful.  But I don't want to get political now, just for info.
