I like it!!

Most teams pick a mascot that has something to do with the surrounding area. Sin City's got the Saints, NY got the Yankee's, Dallas got the Cowboy's, Miami got the Heat... Let's see what's DC got? Liars, Thieves, Crackheads... and that's just in the legislature!!:D

Now the descendant of the native American who designed the (Redskins) logo is pitching a fit, as is the current generation descended from Aunt Jemima.  Who gets to decide what is demeaning, and when is enough enough?

A minor correction.

There is no "current generation descended from Aunt Jemima", because there never was an Aunt Jemima. Aunt Jemima has always been a marketing ploy (unlike Uncle Ben's rice, where Uncle Ben really existed).

The people pitching a bitch are the "current generation descended from one of the several actresses who was hired to portray Aunt Jemima".

A well-known female actress of the time named Anna Harrington, was “Aunt Jemima”.   Her today-great-grandson is angrily protesting to Quaker, the removal of his grandmother‘s, Ms. Harrington’s, image in her acting role as Aunt Jemima.

(Quaker has it’s head so far up its butt, it can see daylight!)

Are not the same woman. Several different actresses were hired to play Aunt Jemima over the years. Aunt Jemima never was real.

And as for this

The fat smiling colored woman with a kerchief wrapped around her head has not been the Aunt Jemima logo for about 20 years.

This is the image of Aunt Jemima that has been removed.

Uh, no.  There was ONE lady - Nancy Green, a former slave - who was a renowned cook and was depicted as Aunt Jemima.  Her descendants are fighting against having her legacy erased.
