Cold Lake Kid, SASS # 51474
Not sure if this could be any help, but a pard and I switched to Trail Boss and found our rifles "friendlier" to shoot.
Tennessee Trapper Tom
Thanks Cold Lake. I’ve had both shoulders replaced, a hip replacement and a real bad back. I had planned to use the rifle for elk hunting. It was a hard choice, but I think elk hunting is becoming a thing of the past for me. I just hope to return to cowboy shooting. I really miss it

Skinny snake eyes pickins
I assume since you were planning to use this for Elk hunting then the gun will handle modern powders and loads? That is one purdy rifle. Why did I open this thread....

According to David Pedersoli’s website you can use modern smokeless ammo as long as it doesn’t exceed 29.007 CUP
