Sawhorse Kid
What do you suppose Jack Wilsons (Shane 1953) grips were ?
Utah Bob #35998
Quote Jack Wilson (Jack Palance) carries two Single Action Army Civilian Model revolvers with deep blue finish and faux mother-of-pearl grips. Like with Shane's revolver, one of Wilson's guns was replaced with a Colt Police Positive revolver in the climactic scene. http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Shane

CB They don’t look like fake MOP but seeing as how it was made in 1953 materials would have been different than today. Don’t know.
Dubious Don #56333
They're not Franzite, LOL. Those grips were pretty common back when. I run across them from time to time. Plastic, they tend to be brittle now. The coloring was a redish-brown creamy white and I have no idea what they're supposed to "replicate" but they are cool !!! Rex M Rugers #6621
As many times as I have seen "Shane" , I never noticed those grips. Now it will bug me till I see it again....... Maybe. I could forget if it is very long till the next time I get the chance for a viewing. That reminds me , whatever happened to Kid Shane? Haven't seen him on the wire in two or three years.
