Had a negligent discharge with the 44-40 last night

Atleast you hit it.   Windage and Elevation ain't one of my strong points.

Every time I shoot at it, my bullet always drifts to the left somehow and I miss.

I'd try the same hold with the same bullet and primer but add about 25% to your compressed load of H110.

That's called Coriolis Effect.  Somehow, I don't think you'd call 20th AF launch officers "snipers". (Back in the 60's us maintenance types called 'em "Capsule Drivers"!

Ain’t you one of them space-kaydet-warriors- rocket-men?  I bet you could have dialed in and hit the Apollo 11 landing site instead of just winging it at the surface like Mark and Widder. 
 

(Actually, I read Widder’s post and couldn’t tell if mine was the only mind in the gutter. Me shooting left of target has nothing to do with the Coriolis Effect.)
