I thought that that is where Alice Kramden landed...

That target is damaged, surprised you didn't get splash back.

Better replace it.

Atleast you hit it.   Windage and Elevation ain't one of my strong points.

Every time I shoot at it, my bullet always drifts to the left somehow and I miss.

I'd try the same hold with the same bullet and primer but add about 25% to your compressed load of H110.

More than windage and elevation. As any sniper knows, you must compensate for the rotation of the earth.

That's called Coriolis Effect.  Somehow, I don't think you'd call 20th AF launch officers "snipers". (Back in the 60's us maintenance types called 'em "Capsule Drivers"!

Aw, go on and admit it, Lawman Mark.  You were in the back yard last night doing your Curly Bill imitations again, weren't you.

Ain’t you one of them space-kaydet-warriors- rocket-men?  I bet you could have dialed in and hit the Apollo 11 landing site instead of just winging it at the surface like Mark and Widder.

(Actually, I read Widder’s post and couldn’t tell if mine was the only mind in the gutter. Me shooting left of target has nothing to do with the Coriolis Effect.)

Trying to mess with the tides??

The .38-40 has a flatter trajectory.
