Accepting Applications for Travel Partner

Recommended Posts

Because of the untimely accident that befell my usual travel partner, Preacherman, I am in serious need of someone to ride shotgun with me to Black Gold (and back from if all goes well).

Lively conversation

Must be able to hold water for long periods.

Drive with trailer (not required)

Share gas and room expenses

Ride in air conditioned luxury (2000 Ford F-150) to and from Manchester KY.

Overnight stops in GA to and from.

Can make our connection anywhere from SWFL through GA.

Accommodations in KY are camping.

I've gone back to the small tent so you would need to bring your own small tent too. I have air mattresses.

Anyhow this might sound like a joke but it is not.

I will be leaving SWFL July 13.

Leaving Manchester July 19.

Let me know if you're interested.

If you're shy you can PM me.

Enjoy.  That's pretty country.  My family roots pass through Laurens County.  My sixth great grandparents moved there from central Virginia to settle near Gray Court in 1766.  They're buried in the Warrior Creek Baptist Church cemetery.  The next generation spread out across the county, and the ones after that headed west to Georgia and Tennessee looking for more land.

If I lived further east I might've put in an application.  If you're still riding solo and coming this way in the future I'd be happy to let you ride shotgun with me.

Even have an extra room at the homestead if you need, no charge.

Thanks, Tequila.

Appreciate the offer.

And it would accomplish a major goal of not having to drive through Atlanta.

We'll meet up sometime but not this time.:)

Waimea picked up a hitchhiker a few months ago. After a few miles, the hitcher asked Waimea if he had any worries about picking up a hitchhiker. Waimea replied "Naw......what's the chances of two serial killers being in the same car at the same time"?

True story or maybe not.

I tried two big tents (you still wouldn't fit) and they were not the quality I was expecting.

The little red tent has been going strong for 5 years. It only leaked once  and that was during Harvey in Alabama.

Not in the cards this year.

My travel partner is from your area though.

You might know him.

He's a gunnfighter. <_<
