Now that is a beautiful Marlin. Details?

What you see is what you get.

A number of years back I modified a Marlin 1894 Cowboy in 45 Colt to run C45S.  I used information published on the Marouder's website and a lot of help from Widder.  It runs moderately well.

Sawmill Mary was running 38 Short Colt in her Cattleman revolvers and 357 loaded down in her Marlin 1894 CBs. I thought it would be handy if I could modify the Marlin to run the 38 Short Colt.   I didn't get past trying to get the short and small rounds past the loading gate. I could see that it was going to be a difficult modification.   In consulting with Widder,  the conclusion was that the 38 Short Colt was just too small and light to freed reliability.  There wasn't any thought to adding short stroke.

Sawmill Mary graduated to 44WCF in handguns and Marlin 1894 modified by Widder.
