JohnWesleyHardin
Rule question. Shooter shoots pistol targets with rifle. I know each shot is a miss, but does that create a procedural as well?

wyliefoxEsquire
I had 20 misses once. After shooting the pistol targets with the rifle I paused and realized opps!!! So I then proceeded to shoot the rifle targets with the pistol. Yeph my first state match. There were 20 "dings" I learned my lesson. Not everyone with a RO2 pin holding the clock is friendly. He just laughed. It was not until I heard the way he said "20 misses" that I realized by his laugh he could have advised me.

JohnWesleyHardin
Actually, I never understood what circumstances would warrant the rule that miss can't cause a procedural until now.
Garrison Joe, SASS #60708
ANOTHER common "miss does not cause a P" is when there is an order on the target set. A miss at any point is not a P. As long as the shooter keeps going on the target order and next shot goes on the correct target CONSIDERING that the miss takes care of ENGAGING a target in the order. If order was a continuous Nevada sweep, a miss means move on to the next target in the Nevada sweep, forget about the fact you missed the target (you can't make that one up). Good luck, GJ
