South-Eye Ned
Someone on the boards recommended this novel, but I couldn’t find who through a search, as I had this on my shelve a few months before I could start reading it. All I can say is thanks for the recommendation to whomever! If you know who made the original recommendation, let me know. ”The Outlaw” is a novel by Warren Kiefer that was published by Donald I. Fine, Inc., NY,NY, in 1989. It’s the story of an orphaned cowboy born in 1878/9 in NM. The story takes him from birth to death in 1968 at a ripe old age. He narrates his life, his experiences, and the well-known people of his day. It’s a good read. I recommend it, although it has salty language, so you may consider that if you decide to give it to a minor.
