Fill Yer Hand
Picked up a Baikal bounty hunter and there seems to be excessive play in the fit between the stock and receiver. I took it apart for inspection and found the T handled mounting location wobbly. Is this normal? Fixes?
Chancy Shot, SASS #67163
I have the same gun. If you take the butt plate off, you will find a deep hole. In that whole is a bolt head. When I take mine apart, I remove that bolt first. The stock comes off, revealing that T thingy. Reinstall is just the reverse. (Thingy is a technical term you might not be familiar with.) your problem might be that the bolt in the stock is loose in the T thingy. Good Luck! Fill Yer Hand
I got it thanks chancy. Any idea why that void in the stock was full of lead shot? Balance or counterweights maybe?
Chancy Shot, SASS #67163
The added weight reduces felt recoil. I would leave it there. YMMV Chancy

Balance or counterweights maybe? Sure, somebody was trying to add weight to cut down on recoil. I, too, have to tighten that long screw through the stock every so often when it starts getting loose. Garrison Joe, SASS #60708
Failure to keep the butt stock firmly in contact with frame results in cracked stocks! Check it periodically. Good luck, GJ
