Cottonheaded rattlemoccasin

This here is a cottonheaded rattlemoccasin. They're native to these parts. They like to guard my mater plants from would be marauders.

Cute l'il gal.  A read cottonheaded rattlemoccasin is something I would not want to step on in the back yard.

How about - "Rattle Headed Cotton Moccasin"? Probably be more appropriate for a lot of us (me included).:P

That’s one of those spitten cobras. You’re lucky it hasn’t shot venom in your eyes. I hear they like to eat nanner splits too. You best kill it, pickle it and send it to the Kajun he can probably make some strong juju with it.

Correct name for above snake.

 

Members of the above family are the only things that will eat a toad altho watching an old hound try is worth the price of a good show.
