Newknee59 Posted June 4, 2020 Share Posted June 4, 2020 I have an 1873 Pietta Bill Tighlman 45 colt and the cylinder won' turn when cocked and the only way it will cock if I hold the barrek up toward the ceiling. Have you dismantled the revolver yet? (I’m guessing no.) A wild guess on my part is that you have a broken hand or broken spring inside the gun, or even a worn hammer. But, these are only guesses without my inspecting your gun. If you don’t feel you are experienced enough or have the correct screwdrivers, take it to a gunsmith. Really, don’t chew up your gun’s screws by using “regular” screwdrivers.
