Utah Bob #35998
Probably a Burmese python. I know where Immokalee is and I don’t doubt the pic. Biggest one caught by game wardens so far is 17 ft. The ecosystem of the Glades is being changed by them.

Crazy Gun Barney, SASS #2428
not sure i'd eat a snake that was pulled out of the sewer system.... Even if I was starving, I would still have to think real hard on it.

Yep, the pythons in South Florida and the Glades have been changing the ecosystem for many years now. The State of Florida has bounties on them and some folks make their living hunting them down. It's nasty, hot, mosquito infested swamp....not an easy hunt. Last time I was in Immokalee, I was on a road trip in a '66 Impala that had jumped timing. A guy reset the timing for a six pack, that was 1977 and 9:30 in the evening on a Saturday night. I think I see him in the background along with the rest of Immokalee's residents. I've always heard that python tastes like snake but I've never tasted it.
