Whiskey Hicks
I’m trying to identify what it was. I see a lot of people saying elsewhere it was a ‘73.

Smuteye John SASS#24774
Around 6 or 7. Winchester did custom orders. If you were willing to pay for it, they'd make it the way you wanted it. Barrels 14 to 30+ inches, half, 3/4 or full mag tubes, etc... Then there were the One of One Hundred and One of One Thousand guns that were available. Shot with a guy in the late '90's that had an original '73- 28" rifle with a full length mag tube in .38WCF.

Choctaw Jack
Hombre is one of my favorite movies.I got to see the actual rifle at WR a couple of years ago. According to the current owner, that rifle is one of a kind ,there are no others like it. Looked like a home gunsmithing project, pretty rough, but looks like something you'd see out in the rough country. I thought it was pretty neat.
