Aside from the embroidery, didn't Buffalo Bill wear thigh-high boots at some point?

I don't think his boots had 4" heels though.

I find those things to be amazingly weird.  I am truly flabergasted as to why they exist.  I would illogically assume they are actually intended for ladies, which makes it even weirder that the person in the pic is gentleman.

I wonder what costume category they would most convolutedly fit?  B-Western perhaps?   They are flashy in a disturbing sort of way.

One (1) person does not a “y’all” make, Marshal.

Don’t worry about a the “rules quoters” and their eager minions.  You saw the same thing in high school, remember?  Ignore them.

There are moderators who take care of these things “silently,” without trying to shame other cowboys in the process.  The moderator needs no assistance from these wannabe Forums police.   Just ignore them.   No one is “offended” by anything YOU did.

Cool picture of the boots.

The Chippendale Trail period. A little known era in the west that made it's way from San Francisco eastward around the late 1880's I believe.

I'm just a tad bit concerned that you fellers got them pics on your computers for reference.

Or that H.K. done figured out which categories y'all could wear them.

Just sayin....

Coming from someone that portrays himself as knowing all things CAS/SASS...and I suspect doesn't even actually shoot matches?????
