Birdgun Quail, SASS #63663 Posted May 17, 2020 Share Posted May 17, 2020 When I was a Staff Sergeant, I was in missile maintenance section of the Safeguard Missile System (1974-1976) located at the Stanley R. Mickelsen Safeguard Complex, Nekoma, North Dakota. The Spartan missile was designed to intercept incoming ICBM's in the exoatmosphere (space).
