Oddnews SASS# 24779
Can someone point me to a source for decent bone/ivory impregnated one-piece grips for third generation Colts? I'd rather not have to send the pistols off as I can do final fitting myself. Twenty years ago, it seemed like I could find ivory micarta grips everywhere, and now I can't find them anywhere. Any advice deeply appreciated.
Isom Dart, SASS#8096
Try Eagle Grips, their Ultra-Ivory looks pretty good. I don't know if they have one piece grips though.

J-BAR #18287
Patrick Grashorn makes terrific grips from elk antlers. He can leave them rough (with bark) or smooth as bone or ivory. Check him out: http://grashornsgunworks.com
Zach Taylor,SASS#14359
Just got a real nice pair from River Junction Trading, they have a large selection, ordered on line, with a return policy. Good company, for a lot of cowboy stuff.

Cypress Sam, SASS #10915
I ordered some imitation ivory made from canvas micarta polymer from macecraftsupply.com. A piece 8”x10”x1/2” was enough for 4 sets of one piece grips. They are closed until May 24 because of the COVID19 according to the website. The material cost about $60. This is raw material, not semi-finished grips. Here is a picture of them on a pair of 125th anniversary Colt Commoratives.
