Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984
I read this story elsewhere Quote , Lt. Alexander ProkhorenkoThis guy was scouting ISIS positions for surgical air strikes. His team was discovered and he was cut off. He was surrounded. He used up all his ammo, killing ISIS fighters who they kept sending to kill him. He even started to kill them in hand-to-hand. Eventually, they organized a rush on his position. He did not want to be captured and tortured, he did not want his body to be degraded by some of the depraved things they did and then photographed. So he called the air strike position. When they asked his to repeat the request, knowing that he had done just that, he repeated the co-ordinates, told them to tell his wife he loved her, and they told them to hurry, they were making their last rush at him and he wanted to kill as many as they could. J-BAR #18287
An Alamo moment, kinda like Todd Beamer’s “Let’s roll.” May his courage be remembered.
Ozark Huckleberry
It's quite likely that going out by being on the bullseye of an airstrike would be far quicker and more merciful than what was in store for an unarmed and exhausted fighter being rushed by a number of the enemy.
