The barrel length issue is clearly stated in the handbook, but the cutoff stock is not. Glad it is not required to agree with the ROC, only to abide by its rulings.... I have asked permission ahead of time and was allowed to use my coyote cap 93/97 at a local match (didn't care for it, not "cowboy" enough for me). I've seen lots of different things used by others, and used a few myself. Never even seen anything like that at any of the "big" matches, state, regional, etc, but at local shoots things are often more laid back. No because you still have to push the top snap lever and break it open and then close it with each shot. Maybe closer to a pump shotgun. But in any case, it would be an illegal external mod. WTC? Personally, I'd like to get set up to do the revolvers and shotgun using pinfire -- but there aren't many pinfire single actions. It seems like all you can find are double-action.
