Can You Hear Me Now?

I’ve been hard of hearing most of my life. It got worse as I got older, but hearings aids  improved things immensely. 
 

Now with CV-19, plastic shields between me and the cashier (who is also wearing a mask), I’m right back where I started. 
 

Cashier: “mmphff?”

Me: “Say again?”

Anyone else going through the same thing?

I tend to fill in the gaps by reading lips. I didn't realize how much I relied on that. But on the plus side more women are pretty!
