Semper Fi Cowboy
I’ve been in SASS about 13 years now, but have never shot Wild Bunch! I would like to know how many rounds are shot from each weapon during a single stag! Thanks
Branchwater Jack SASS #88854
It depends on the stage. As an example, here are some stages from Winter Range: http://www.winterrange.com/WB Stages.pdf

Happy Jack, SASS #20451
If a 3 gun stage 28 pistol, 6 shotgun and 7-10 rifle. If a Pistol SG stage usually 28or 35 pistol and 6-8 SG. If a pistol rifle stage 28 or 35 pistol and 7-10 rifle. If a pistol only stage 35-42 pistol. It is a high round count big bore sport. Some local clubs because of the number of shooters shoot a lower round count. Look at the EOT stages on the Wild Bunch MD Guide that you can view/download from the main SASS page. Baltimore Ed
We will shoot at least 15 Per stage with every other stage 20. As our wb matches are also cas matches we are still doing 5 rd mags. I don’t think I’ve ever shot more than 20 in a stage but it’s up to the match creator. It gets real complicated to keep up with if the rd count gets too big. All that brass has to be policed up at some time and the number of shooters would have a bearing too. Our next match was to be a wb before the country shut down. Good shooting....eventually. LostVaquero
Our 6 stage matches require around 160+ pistol rounds. Usually a minimum of 3 mag chnages. Some 4 and 5. every now and then 6 mag changes at 7 rounds per mag. Rifle is in the 40 to 50 total Shotgun in the 20 or so total for six stages. WB is usually more pistol intensive, less so on shotgun and rifle.
