No grip strength and generator gas tanks

Recommended Posts

we have a couple of generators that provide electricity for our stage fans (at least two in each building).

I find that they are easy to start but I don't have enough strength to open the large gas caps on top.

I found a a common oil filter wrench will just fit on the cap and does the trick.  Now it's easy/peezy to open and close.

I just had this problem this Monday after several tornadoes in the Chattanooga area left us without power for four days.  I hadn't thought about one of my oil filter wrenches, but I used a similar wrench that has a rubber strap that has an adjustable length.  I felt like a total "wussy" because attempts to remove the cap by failed while I was being "supervised" by the wife.

Lumpy was faster on the draw than me ;)

If the wife wasn't there it would have just come off like the cap on your car!

Howdy,

Where were you two weeks back?

I had a jar that wouldn't open.

Ive been opening jars a LONG time and this one was tough.

I finally just gave up. A rarity for sure.

I never thought of my filter wrench.....

Next night my upper back hurt so bad I couldn't sleep.

Over a week with my back hurting even with pain meds.

Finally its decided to ease off and I got a decent sleep last night.

First decent sleep this month.

But its been a weird month anyhow.....I guess.

Best

CR
